2.5 Using AI Translation
Configure source and target languages, translation modes, and AI translation options.
Open AI Translate
In the top toolbar center area, click the purple AI Translate button.

Original Language: choose the source language.Target Language: this is the current working language in the editor.Optional style prompt: add tone or formatting guidance if needed.Preview style prompt: test one line before you run the full job.
Choose the sample line
For preview, use Longest line, Random line, or the Sequence picker.
Preview only tests the prompt. It does not change the script.

- Translate all empty lines: fill only missing translations.
- Force overwrite: replace existing translations in the working language.
- Google translation (non-AI): use Google Translate instead of the AI mode.
- Skip stage directions: leave stage-direction rows untranslated.
Start the job
- Click
Translatein the dialog footer. - Review the estimate in the confirmation dialog.
- Click
Confirm and startin the confirmation dialog footer.
Translation cannot be cancelled once it starts. Save your work first and treat the run as a full background job.
